What hymn(s) do you want sung at your funeral?

Would it matter in what season you die?

Would your song selections be your favorites or more for those attending? Do they contain themes such as grief, hope, memory and thanks for a faithful life lived?

Have you written them down?

I guess by answering this blog I am writing them down; too funny today I was thinking at communion I was at peace with dying tomorrow if that would be the Lord's way. Ha... must come with turning 53, and thinking it's better than the alternative.

Ok... Pierce Pettis wrote an absolutely wonderful tune that I would want sung at my funeral. "I've Got a Hope"

I've said since I was in my 20's it would have to include "Will the Circle be Unbroken"

While everyone loves "On Eagles Wings".. I would ask to pass because it's too hard to sing. I would think "Borning Cry" would be ideal to remember the long walk with Jesus.

I would love to have "Flowers of the Forest" played instrumentally... bags pipes would be awesome.
