How does your congegation welcome children?

Does your congregation make any special efforts to invite participation from children in your worship or in the life of the community?

Do you include children as a regular part of your worship? Are children given leadership roles where they are supported and affirmed by the community?

What about children who are visiting for the first time — what types of hospitality might they experience?

At Faith Lutheran Church we are blessed with lots of children! We include them as acolytes, ushers, greeters, chimes and singing, children's time during worship and we celebrate the littlest ones making their voices heard in worship (even if one might think it was an interruption!). The picture hanging behind my desk is of Jesus laughing with the children and serves as a model for our lives of faith together.
