When have you changed your mind on an important topic?

On March 29, we commemorate the life and witness of Hans Nielsen Hauge, renewer of the church, who died in 1824.

Hauge was a lay preacher in Norway who described his conversion in dramatic terms: “I asked God to reveal to me what I should do. The answer echoed in my heart, ‘You shall confess my name before the people; exhort them to repent and seek me while I may be found and call upon me while I am near.’”

What’s a time when you changed your mind on an important topic? Did it lead you to a new way of being? Who or what inspired that change?
