Does your congregation recycle?

Does your congregation recycle? If so, what materials do you collect: paper, plastic, glass, compost, other?

What have you learned from the process and what lessons or tips can you share with others as a result?

Jacob's Well has a 'no garbage' goal - both at our office and in our services, and we come pretty close. We recycle a lot, we compost even more. We have also begun a recycling project for the neighborhood collecting those 'hard to recycle' plastics that the city won't collect. We even won an award from our city ward for the project - people are noticing! We collect enough recyclables from our neighbors to fill a van almost every week.

It's all part of a core value we hold about harmony with one another and creation. We value responsible living.
