How do you talk about Passover with children?

Passover began at sundown on April 18 this year.

For children in your household or in your congregation who have Jewish friends or family members, what questions do they have about Passover? How do you talk about Passover with them?

In working with youth of all ages I find that using the opportunity of Holy Week and using the Seder is a "hands on" approach to helping them understand that we start with a rich Jewish heritage and that Jesus brought us through this heritage, tradition and understanding to a new understanding. The Seder helps explain from whence we come and Maundy Thursday helps them understand where we are going. These events/services when done well allow for opportunity to teach, ask questions, say hmmm, and even say ah-ha?!

we invite them to our Seder meal. They don't get the whole story all the time but it is amazing over the years what they pick up
