How does your garden grow?

Did you plant a garden this year? Is it a few tomatoes in pots, an acre of produce or somewhere in between?

How is it doing and why did you plant it? Is the purpose to provide food for the table, food for the soul or perhaps both?

With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.

One explanation is that the silver bells refer to the sanctus bell, the cockle shells to the cathedral bells, and that the pretty maids are nuns. This has been varoiusly interpreted as being either for or against the restoration of Roman Catholicism in Protestant England.

Our weed-overgrown, beetle-infested garden at home provides tomatoes and peppers for the table, and a visible reminder of the goodness of God's creation as we watch it grow.
