My vocation (or calling in life): Lutheran pastor.

My congregation: Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, Vt.

My faith background is: genetic Lutheran (active member of home congregation for 52 years).

My favorite hymn: “Beautiful Savior,” but after that, too many to list.

My favorite liturgical season: Pentecost — the season of church growth. Love preaching on Jesus’ parables!

My favorite potluck dish: chicken enchiladas or lasagna.

I prefer to sit here during worship: up front! (pulpit side).

What’s playing on my iPod right now: Pink’s “Funhouse.”

Someone who inspires me: Maya Angelou.

I was most proud of my congregation when: we adopted families from Vietnam and Laos.

The ministry I’m most passionate about: justice issues.

The best thing I learned in Sunday school: that God is love!

I feel most Lutheran when: reading Luther and teaching confirmation class.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: recognizing God’s loving grace and sharing it with others.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: teaching, preaching, serving, baptizing, communing, serving.

Lutheran is a feeling?

Yes, Pastor Mark, it is a feeling... Maya Angelou, Pink's "Funhouse," justice issues, "God is 'love'," and endless "sharing"....
