With the recent hot weather across much of the nation, a good place to spend some leisure time has been a cool, dark theater.
Is there a summer flick that has earned your applause? Did it have some life lessons? Did it provide a great escape from daily concerns?
I just saw "The Help." It's powerful, funny, and a sad remembrance of the evil of prejudice. I can't remember many movies where the silence at the end was finally interrupted by applause. Go see it.
