My vocation (or calling in life): social worker/diaconal minister (awaiting approval).

My congregation: Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Chicago.

My favorite hymn: “Canticle of the Turning.”

My favorite Bible verse: Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

My favorite potluck dish: ice cream Jell-O.

I like my coffee: with sugary syrups.

What’s playing on my iPod right now: Lady Gaga.

My perfect day: is sunny and 70 degrees, and I don’t have to work.

Someone who inspires me: Grandma Georgia.

People would be surprised to know that: I’m immune to chicken pox.

The hymn I want played at my funeral: “How Great Thou Art.”

The ministry I’m most passionate about: HIV and AIDS awareness education.

I feel most Lutheran when: I make Martin Luther jokes.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: being cool.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I’m cooking.

Good favorite verse, Becky! Must be the influence of your youth pastor, since it was my ordination verse. :)
