My vocation (or calling in life): elementary education, now volunteer.

My congregation: Lord of Life Lutheran Chruch, Schaumburg, Ill.

My favorite Bible verse: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”

My favorite person in the Bible: Priscilla.

My favorite Christmas carol: “Star of the East.”

My favorite movie: “27 Dresses.”

My favorite junk food: cheese curls.

My perfect day: traveling with my family.

Someone who inspires me: my daughters.

The best thing I learned in Sunday school: the stories we were told about real people.

Lutherans could do better at: sharing dialogue with interfaith groups.

I was most proud of my congregation when: we sponsored people in global missions.

I feel most Lutheran when: I’m in a large group gathering.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: trying to do good works for others — providing a voice, or a place for someone’s voice, if they do not have that opportunity.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: sorting, counting and delivering items to the various food pantries.
