Ben Bergren

My vocation (or calling in life): pastor.

My congregation: Trinity Lutheran Church, Rolling Meadows, Ill.

My favorite hymn: “Now All the Vault of Heaven Resounds.”

My favorite liturgical season: Lent.

My favorite movie: “Signs” — all about faith!

I like my coffee: black.

My perfect day: fishing in Wisconsin for muskies.

Someone who inspires me: Andy Stanley, a pastor and author.

Lutherans are great at: potlucks! — and singing hymns.

Lutherans could do better at: evangelism.

My favorite volunteer project: Operation Christmas.

The ministry I’m most passionate about: teaching.

I feel most Lutheran when: I’m at a Lenten soup supper.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: living and showing grace to all.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I am serving at Leadership Lab Summer Camp.
