My vocation (or calling in life): currently retired and formerly employed in quality assurance at the Nebraska Community Blood Bank.
My congregation: American Lutheran Church, Adams, Neb.
My favorite hymn: “Here I Am to Worship,” but there are so many that I love.
My favorite Bible verse: Matthew 28:20, ” ‘And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ “
My favorite disciple: Peter.
My favorite Christmas carol: “Oh Come, All Ye Faithful.”
My favorite potluck dish: too many to choose from!
My favorite junk food: potato chips.
I prefer to sit here during worship: about a third of the way from the front.
My perfect day: waking up after a great night’s sleep, granddaughter coming, smile on her face and hugs for Grandma!
Someone who inspires me: a woman in our church who does so much but never seeks thanks or attention.
People would be surprised to know that: I’m not sure anyone would be surprised by anything about me — I’m an open book.
I feel most Lutheran when: singing “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.”
What “living Lutheran” means to me: loving my neighbor, sharing my resources and talents, learning with others.
I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I’m serving free hot dogs at sand volleyball games in our town in the summer.
