When has the power of Jesus lifted you?

Too often we fall into a hole — one we’ve dug ourselves or one we didn’t see until it was too late. How has your faith lifted you at such times? How have you become better at avoiding future holes?

In the midst of divorce despair and prayer, feeling as if weight was lifted off my shoulders. It is in our darkest moments that we can see the light that is always there.

I am glad you can always find the light even in the dark. Is that not what we are called to do----not avoid but walk through it with faith that even in our most personal and darkest moments that God even uses that to bless us and make the world anew for us and others. Been there both sides. :)

Everyday... every day. It sounds cliche, but every sunrise is a message from God. Each new day is another chance to reclaim our baptism, know again God's love and forguveness, and start fresh. I could not get out of bed if Jesus and his love didn't lift me. But by His grace alone, the Lord opens my lips and my mouth declares His praise.

Me too, Chemitz! Just about the time I am into world or church domination some one sends me a quote. God was funny this time and it came from a Hindu atheist friend of mine from India. LOL! Here it is maybe you can use it--

Forgive those who insult you, attack you, belittle you or take you for granted. But more than this... forgive yourself for allowing them to hurt you.

I decided there and then God put atheist's here to point out to us faithful that we are off the path and in the muck and mire. Besides I can take the atheist's word for it because he has no hidden religious agenda even culturally! Hahaha! God is Awesome.( I did inform him how God used him, he laughed nervously):)
