Gale Pearson

My vocation (or calling in life): registered nurse.

My congregation: Zion Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, Minn.

My favorite hymn: “Come to Jesus.”

My favorite disciple: Luke.

My favorite person in the Bible: Noah.

My favorite potluck dish: calico beans.

My favorite movie: “The Dream Team.”

I like my coffee: decaf.

The magazine I read standing in line at the grocery store: Guideposts.

People would be surprised to know that: I grew up on Gale Lake and am named after the lake.

The best thing I learned in Sunday school: is knowing Jesus.

Lutherans could do better at: evangelism.

My favorite volunteer project: parish nursing.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: to live my faith.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I work as a nurse birthing babies.
