Mary Jo Kinzler

My vocation (or calling in life): assistant plant manager.

My congregation: Zion Lutheran Church, Kulm, N.D.

My favorite hymn: “Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord.”

My favorite Bible verse: Romans 8:28, “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”

My favorite disciple: Peter.

My favorite movie: “Grease.”

I like my coffee: black or with a flavored creamer.

I prefer to sit here during worship: in the same pew every week.

What’s playing on my iPod right now: praise and worship music.

Someone who inspires me: my parents.

People would be surprised to know that: I’m Christian first — and then Lutheran.

Lutherans could do better at: witnessing.

My favorite volunteer project: mission trips to the Dominican Republic.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: “living Christian.”

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I remember that all my work is to God’s glory.
