Ann Holmstrom

My congregation: Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Wheaton, Ill.

I’ve been an ELCA Lutheran since: it was formed and prior to that a lifelong Lutheran.

My favorite hymn: “Amazing Grace.”

My favorite disciple: Peter.

My favorite person in the Bible: Martha.

My favorite potluck dish: green-bean casserole.

My favorite movie: “The Sound of Music.”

I like my coffee: decaf, black.

I prefer to sit here during worship: in the middle at the end of the pew.

The TV show I’d never watch: “Lost.”

The magazine I read standing in line at the grocery store: People.

Someone who inspires me: my mother.

I was most proud of my congregation when: we approved blessings of same gender relationships.
