My vocation (or calling in life): ordained clergy.

My congregation: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Chicago.

My favorite hymn: “Earth and All Stars.”

My favorite disciple: Thomas.

My favorite potluck dish: green Jell-O.

My favorite junk food: God doesn’t make junk.

The TV show I never miss: “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Someone who inspires me: the children.

People would be surprised to know that: I love to golf.

Lutherans are great at: potlucks.

I am most proud of my congregation when: they want to give of themselves.

Lutherans could do better at: discipleship.

I feel most Lutheran when: I teach others about faith.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: God’s grace abounds.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I read and preach scripture.
