Ken Cockerham

My vocation (or calling in life): management.

My congregation: Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Franklin, Tenn.

My favorite hymn: “Amazing Grace.”

My favorite Bible verse: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”

My favorite disciple: John.

My favorite person in the Bible: Abraham.

My favorite potluck dish: cabbage rolls.

My favorite movie: “Jeremiah Johnson.”

My favorite junk food: pizza.

I like my coffee: black.

People would be surprised to know that: we Lutherans are such a diverse group — politically, racially and demographically.

My favorite volunteer project: fundraising for the Children’s Home Society.

I feel most Lutheran when: I’m worshiping at Saint Andrew.

What “living Lutheran” means to me: Love, stewardship, testifying my faith to others and setting a Christian example by trying to live the life Jesus wants me to live.

I’m doing God’s work with my hands when: I am helping others who need help, when I share my faith and God’s love with others and when I help others receive Christ as their Savior.
