Is there a fear, big or small, that controlled you until you took a stand and stared it down? What helped you decide to take control? Did your faith help you find the extra strength to prevail?

I used to be afraid of flying. Going to a Stephen Ministry training session in Texas (I live in PA) was what prompted me to overcome this phobia. Through the support of family and friends, a good video explaining the physics of flight, and, most of all, Jesus, I now love to fly. I went to the Stephen Ministry event just five month after the terrorist atatcks of 9-11, and since then I've been to Europe twice and all over the continential USA, including two churchwide assemblies. Thanks be to God for his deliverenace.
