Standard Contest Rules for LivingLutheran.com

To provide fair and equal chance of winning to all registered users of LivingLutheran.com, the following are the official rules for all contests on this website.

All winners must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted.

TO ENTER, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM, READ THE VIDEO CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES (referred to herein as "Official Rules") BELOW AND AGREE TO THE OFFICIAL RULES AND OTHER WEBSITE TERMS BY CLICKING THE ACCEPTANCE BOXES WHERE INDICATED AND THEN CLICKING ON THE "REGISTER NOW" BUTTON.

SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES, PUERTO RICO, THE VIRGIN ISLANDS AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

  1. Submission of photo, video, text or other content

    2. Entries selected for display and as winners in "best of" contests and any other contests requiring photo, video, text or other content from the entrants will be judged entirely at the discretion of LivingLutheran.com.

    By submitting any photo, video, text or other content to LivingLutheran.com, you hereby grant to LivingLutheran.com and its affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and assigns, an irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted photo or other information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose.

    In addition to other things, the rights granted to LivingLutheran.com include, but are not limited to, the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and to otherwise alter or make use of the submitted photos, videos or text.

    You acknowledge and agree that LivingLutheran.com shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any photo, video, text or other content submitted by you, and may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any photo or information that you submit to LivingLutheran.com.

    You understand and intend that any photo, video, text or other content submitted by you to LivingLutheran.com may be available for viewing, rating, reviewing and commenting on by the public and understand that comments or ratings with which you disagree or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo, video, text or other content you submit to LivingLutheran.com. By submitting any photo, video, text or other information to LivingLutheran.com, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such photo, video, text or other content submitted by you to LivingLutheran.com

    You hereby agree to hold LivingLutheran.com and its affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, sponsors and assigns harmless from and against, and hereby waive any right to pursue any claims of any nature arising in connection with the inclusion in, publication via or display on any LivingLutheran.com site, or any other use authorized under these Terms, of any photo or information submitted to LivingLutheran.com by you.

    Photos, videos, text or other content submitted by you to the Site shall be the property of LivingLutheran.com, and LivingLutheran.com shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to you or others any photos, videos, text or other content so submitted.

  2. COPPA Policy

    3. In accordance with the Children's Online Protection Policy, we cannot accept registration from anyone under the age of 18. COPPA provides protection for children while online and prohibits websites from accepting any identifiable data or information from anyone 13 and under.

  3. Rights

    4. By submitting any photo, video, text or other content to LivingLutheran.com, you hereby represent and warrant that the submitted photo, video, text or other content does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity or any person, or any other right to any third party, and you have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to LivingLutheran.com herein, including, but not limited to, all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.

    If the individual filming, producing or writing any photo, video, text or other content to LivingLutheran.com is someone other than the Entrant, the Entrant must obtain written permission and release from such individual(s) to use the photo, video, text or other content in any and all media without compensation.

    The Entrant must submit all required consent and releases at the ELCA's request, including a release from all individuals featured in any photo, video or audio and all individuals filming, producing or recording the content submitted to LivingLutheran.com. The Entrant must have written permission to use the audio and visuals of everyone featured in any and all media without compensation. If any individual in the photo, video or audio is a minor, then written consent must be obtained by the Entrant from the minor's parent or guardian.

  4. Awarding Prizes

    5. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred. All cash winners are required to verify proper and legal picture identification and Social Security number within 30 days of notification of winning the cash prize. Winner may forfeit any and all cash winnings if verification cannot or has not been made within 30 days. Upon proper verification, cash winnings will be awarded by check and mailed to winner's mailing address within seven (7) business days.

    Each prize winner must supply LivingLutheran.com with his/her legal name, mailing address, email address, birth date, and day and evening telephone numbers. In the case of a cash winner, winner must also supply Social Security number.

    Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees and all such additional costs that may be incurred.

    Neither LivingLutheran.com, LivingLutheran.com sponsors, nor employees of LivingLutheran.com nor sponsors may be held liable of any warranty, costs, damage, injury or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of any winners of a prize once winner has taken possession of the product. LivingLutheran.com is not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with or resulting from any contest promoted by LivingLutheran.com.

    If the specified prize becomes unavailable because of unforeseen circumstances, LivingLutheran.com may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

Management, employees and families of LivingLutheran.com are prohibited from winning any prizes awarded by LivingLutheran.com.
