Uploading instructions

Step 1. Create your video.

Make sure you have everything you need to make a video. Visit our Tool Kit for tips on getting started.

Step 2. Make sure you include the ELCA brandmark and contest URL.

You can download a graphic that contains both the brandmark and the web address by right-clicking on this link.

Step 3. Upload your video to YouTube.

First you will need to create a YouTube account and upload your contest entry to your account. Check the instructions provided by YouTube. (We cannot provide any technical support on this step.)

Step 4. Copy the YouTube URL before you go to the contest submission form.

This step may be a bit tricky, so we’ve provided some screenshots below. Once you have uploaded your video to YouTube, follow these instructions.

a. Find your video on YouTube:

b. Click on video’s title link to open the video in a new window:

c. Click on “Share” button below the video; copy the URL displayed:

d. Copy the code displayed from the share box:

e. Paste URL into the “YouTube URL” field in the video submission form:

d. Fill in the remaining required fields and Submit.
