“From Here to Community: Enhancing Christian Community in Today’s Society” is a 12-session adult-education curriculum written by Richard and Judith Reuning. The resource explores the roots of Christian community, how that community is affected by modern society and how Christian communities can be unique gifts to the world today.
The sessions are designed to move congregation members from being a gathering of individuals to being a community working toward God’s vision of peace and justice for humanity. By encouraging participants through reading Scripture, drama, other readings, case studies and discussion questions, the material tackles issues that require human choices in the midst of ambiguity. A leader guide is available to help facilitate class planning.
